Show Horses Shine at Equestrian NSW HOTY - Results From the Finals
Equestrian NSW Horse of the Year 2010 17 and 18 April - SIEC
The best of the best show horses and riders in NSW were centre stage at SIEC over the weekend as they competed for state title honours at the Equestrian NSW Horse of the Year 2010. Almost 200 horse and rider combinations attended the show, held 17 and 18 April, where classes decided the NSW team for the Australian Show Horse and Rider Championships to be held in Victoria in December. Other classes held over the weekend included Newstar, Young Equestrian, Amateur Owner and Led. Our esteemed judges, Fiona Clarke, Ann McClelland, Richard Rice and Paul Austin were impressed with the quality of entries. One of the stars of the show was Bridget Sell who won not only the Adult Rider of the Year but brilliantly rode her beautiful Universal Law to victory in the Large Show Hunter Hack class and was awarded Champion Show Hunter Hack to represent NSW at the nationals. Congratulations to all the competitors for their great results and for providing such a high standard of competition. Thanks to the judges and the organisers of the event; Debbie Bugden - event director, Joanne Cocksedge - head of administration, Gary Beaton - ringmaster, Carol Heuchan - announcer, our hard working stewards, Andrea Webb, Jane Paroissien, Julia McIntyre, Clem Tinslay, David McClelland, Lisa Le Provost and Ben, Maureen Friend - helper extraordinaire, Sally Smith - scorer, Gary Pevy - stable manager, Alicia Birch - photographer and from the ENSW office, Sue Birch, Elysha Sargent and little Tomieka Bond.
