The Equestrian NSW Interschool Championships 2011 were held at SIEC 3-6 March, 2011. The event was an overwhelming success with almost 500 competitors taking part over the four days. The weather was ideal, bar one small shower on Saturday and the riders, parents and spectators all worked hard to ensure the event was enjoyable and successful. Thanks must go to the amazing, hard working and professional core committee, Vicki Burgess, Elysha Sargent, Judy Fasher, Joanne Cocksedge, Michelle Becchio, Linda Beneke, Jenny Denby, Sally Smith, Liz Jones and Edwena Mitchell and our extended committee of Jim Scobie, Andrea Webb, Fiona Hughes, Charlie Brister, Rebecca Andrews, Selena Sylvester, Derek Major, Bill Matthews, Mike and Sandy O'Callahan, David Lawrence, Tina Stafford, Renee Haberland, Doug Denby, Darryl Burgess, Brett Jones, Kia Sanders, Susie Burns, Sue Birch, Charles Tym, John Vallance, Mark Wigget and Alan de Courcy-Ellis for delivering such a wonderful event. Also thanks to the many parents, teachers and coaches who assisted with the event in various areas such as marshalling, pencilling, administration and scoring as well of course to our excellent officials and judges who ensured the competitors received the very best guidance and feedback on their equestrianism.
Finally, thanks to the staff of the Sydney International Equestrian Centre who, as ever, worked so hard to make sure the venue was tip top and that the event committee and the competitors had every need met.
Congratulations to all the competitors for their excellent results, in particular Hills Grammar for winning Champion Senior School and St Pauls Cranebrook for winning Champion Junior School and all the individual age and discipline champions and reserve champions. No doubt from this event NSW will have a very strong team for the national interschool champs in Victoria later this year.

VERY IMPORTANT - SHOWMAN COMPETITORS
There has been a change in the showman dressage test - all competitors have been emailed with the changes and the correct tests to learn
You have over a week to ensure you know the correct test. If you know someone who is also doing showman please check with them that they know the correct tests!

The ridden and led workouts for the showman will be posted on the website when they are finalised - please do not ask when this will be as this only slows us down! Please make any enquiries for the event by email to elysha@efansw.com.au
