NSW Sets the Stage

New South Wales is once again playing host to some major equestrian events this weekend - The Australian Dressage Championships in Sydney and the NSW State Showjumping Championships in Boorowa.

NSW State Showjumping Championships

More than 300 horses and their riders will make their mark on Boorowa over the weekend for the 2014 NSW State Showjumping Championships.

With competition commencing on Friday 24 the best jumping riders and their horses will be taking part in more than 1400 rounds of show jumping over the weekend.

David Cameron, current Senior Australian champion will have his sights set on the State title as will Young Rider champion Tom McDermott. The lower grades are well supported by junior and amateur riders as they endeavour to keep the rails up in the hotly contested championship classes.

Sunday will showcase the finals of the Boorowa Council Cup, Jumping NSW Stars of the Future, Equestrian NSW Senior Championships along with the Junior, Young Rider and Amateur Championship titles. The weather is forecast to be hot and sunny so pack the family up and head down, with four competition arenas running over the weekend this event will be a spectator's delight.
