Statement from Willow Park

We would like to thank everyone for their kind words and messages over the last few days.  Your support and love has been much appreciated.

No words can describe how we feel on the tragic passing of Caitlyn Fischer.  Caitlyn was very much a part of our family and our extended family at Willow Park.

Caitlyn was a bright and talented young woman and rider.  Caitlyn was extremely hardworking, dedicated and passionate about her eventing.  Caitlyn’s desire to learn and improve and be the best possible rider she could be was evident every day.  Caitlyn would go above and beyond, constantly thinking of others before herself.

Without doubt, Ralph was the main man in her life.  The love, trust and partnership that they had together was truly amazing.  Ralph is a big strong boy but he has this gentle softness and kindness just like Caitlyn.  Ralph is at Willow Park grazing in his paddock.  The extended family are taking good care of him.  I know that he is missing his partner.

To Ailsa, Mark and Kris, Caitlyn was truly an angel with the most beautiful soul.  Having now spent time with you all over the last few days, it is clear Cailtyn was a reflecton of the outstanding role models you had been to her, and the upbringing she had.  You will always be in our thoughts.

Right to the end Caitlyn, I was truly bursting with pride to be your mentor and have you represent the Willow Park team. Both as a rider, and as an outstanding individual.

Caitlyn, we will always love you and miss you.  Forever Young. xxx
