Meet your ENSW Chair – Amy Eggleton

Amy is proud to be returning as ENSW Chair for a second year and is looking forward to continuing to work alongside the board, members, and the wider equestrian community. Her continued focus is on listening to members, supporting positive reform, and strengthening a collaborative working relationship with the national body, Equestrian Australia, as we move through this Year of the Horse.
Alongside her equestrian background, Amy brings professional experience in finance, leadership, governance, and stakeholder management, with a strong connection to regional NSW and the agricultural sector. She understands the importance of sustainable, well-governed organisations that support their members.
An active equestrian, Amy has competed in eventing up to 1* level and also enjoys dressage and showjumping. She is now also focused on breeding performance horses and supporting the future of the sport at all levels.
Amy lives in regional NSW with her husband, her unicorn-obsessed two-year-old daughter, and their seven horses, 3 dogs and a cat— and is passionate about helping the sport thrive for current and future generations.
Please feel free to contact Amy on her direct email [email protected]

Rod McQueen

Rod has taken on the role of Coach and Discipline Support for the Equestrian NSW State Interschool Team, supporting Jumping, Combined Training, and Eventing competitors. I am particularly committed to mentoring young riders, as they represent the future of our sport.

In addition to my coaching, I was previously a volunteer in our local equestrian community, serving as Safety Officer and Groundskeeper for the Central Coast Showjumping Club. Prior to my full-time dedication to showjumping, I worked as a qualified plumber from 2008 to 2013 before focusing entirely on my riding and training career with Equus Australia.

I am excited by the opportunity to bring my experience, passion, and commitment for Equestrian Sport to the Equestrian NSW Board and to continue supporting the equestrian community at every level.
