Show Horse Appeals Update – EBL Satina

During the 2026 BARE Equestrian NSW Horse of the Year, EBL Satina was eliminated from a Show Hunter Hack class following an initial assessment relating to the EA sensory hair welfare requirements.

An appeal was subsequently lodged and the matter was reviewed by the Equestrian NSW Appeals Committee. Following further inspection of the horse in natural light and consideration of applicable EA rules, it was determined that EBL Satina was not in breach of the relevant sensory hair requirements and was eligible to continue competing in all remaining classes at the event.

Under the EA National Show Horse Rules, the decision of the Ground Jury/judges in the original class cannot be overturned and therefore the result of that class remains unchanged.
