ACTEW AGL Show Jumping Cup

The stunning Equestrian Park in the heart of the nation's capital has been watered, aerated and mown for the upcoming ACTSJ club feature event the ACTEW AGL Canberra Cup.  Over 250 horses and 160 quick thinking riders will tackle challenging jumping courses designed by Brad Longhurst, Greg Vella and Anthony Hassel.

Established partnerships that are quick, careful and accurate will have the edge and are sure to entertain spectators over the weekend of show jumping in the capital. Where age is no barrier for man or beast and often carries an advantage, we will see seasoned campaigners pitted against feisty brave young guns hungry for a win. In form local cup riders Clint Beresford, Jamie Grant, Jess Spence and Grant Hughes will have locals cheering and give interstate competitors some tough competition.

Action at the ACT show jumping event starts each day at 8:00am with three rings sponsored by Horseland, Horsezone and Barastoc.  The ever popular 6 bar competition is a crowd entertainer.

The feature class the ACTEW AGL Cup, where fences will start at 1.40m and include an open water jump, is on Sunday November 9th.
